ANDREW MINYARD doesn't care about anything. The product of a broken home and a long history of abuse, Andrew has decided that if he's abrasive and violent then people can't hurt him. He shows affection in strange ways and has no interest in clearing up people's misconceptions about him, which is the cause of a lot of his problems. Majoring in Criminal Justice for a laugh, Andrew reserves most of his concern for the handful of people he's decided are worthy of it. Still, he's willing to do things for other people—for the right price. Or if Neil asks him to.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

★ VISUAL: Andrew is extremely short, but also plays sports at a level described to be among the top 1% of players. He's relatively skinny, but deceptively strong thanks to exy. Additionally, his forearms and face are covered in faint scars—though they're a bit hard to see, given his pale complexion.

★ FASHION: Andrew prefers dressing like he's going to the club, but in 2005. Skinny jeans? Check. Leather jacket? Absolutely. Fishnet shirt? You know it! All in black, like his soul, of course.

★ DEMEANOR: Andrew is fairly unassuming physically, but gives off pretty extreme "don't fuck with me" vibes. He spends most of his time looking bored. This can change on a dime, however, and Andrew will switch from bored to pulling a knife on someone in an instant.

★ SOUND: A bit like Paul Walker. Basically very California monotone with a lot of vocal fry. Think... stereotypical surfer dude, but without the slang.

★ SCENT: Mostly like male, but prefers woodsy scents in soap and personal care products.

★ BACKTAGGING: If I don't respond for like two days, just msg me on discord or whatever and lmk because I probably forgot.

★ THREADJACKING: Generally fine on a network thread, unless it's marked as private! For more log-type things, feel free to contact me first. I'm pretty easy-going, though.

★ FOURTHWALLING: I'm fine with characters recognizing Andrew and even knowing a nominal amount about him, given the fact that he is a minor celebrity in canon, but I would prefer no direct fourthwalling (ie "you're fictional"). Also fine to recognize him as (younger) Gwayne Hightower. He won't know what that means, but it will be funny to me and that's what matters.

★ TRIGGERS/OFF LIMITS: Moving pictures of moths/butterflies are iffy for me and I have an eating disorder trigger, so stuff about that is a no go. Other than that I'm open to most things!

★ RELATIONSHIPS: Andrew is... not 100% off limits? But he is pretty fucking obsessed with Neil, so you'll have to clear level 7 of his friendship maze and be okay with poly to even open up this option. Also he's strictly into men.

★ TAG STYLE: I'm fine with either brackets or prose! Feel free to respond whatever way is most comfortable for you and I'll match it.

IC PERMISSIONS

★ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Do you want to get stabbed? That's how you get stabbed, if Andrew doesn't know you and you didn't ask for explicit consent from him. If your name is Neil Josten, the answer is "probably but maybe not." Andrew is... not fond of being touched, but occasionally might accept from relatively close cr.

★ FLIRTING: Andrew is gay, so he will redirect women who try, but is tolerant of it from men unless the flirting involves touching him. Then he will shut that shit down, probably violently.

★ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Yeah. Fucking absolutely, come at him bro. He will fight to win, though, so like. Probably oocly ask first so we can sketch out what's going on? Canonically he once nearly killed four guys for being homophobic so.

★ DEATH/INJURY: Injuries are generally fine if they make sense and are within the context of fighting! Ask first if it's a kink-related injury. Death is a possibility, but I'd just like to talk about it first.

★ PHYSICAL MANIPULATION: You... can try! You can try to physically get Andrew to do something, but you'd probably have to touch him first and that might be a problem. In terms of more magical manipulation, he doesn't have shields against it, but he will be very upset by it so just know it'll have negative CR consequences.

★ MENTAL MANIPULATION: Andrew doesn't have any specific provisions against this and I'm okay with it if you ask first! Just be aware that doing it will make him extremely upset and might trigger him, so it's likely to have negative CR consequences.

CONTENT WARNINGS

All For The Game is a book series with a number of content warnings. Overall the series features a lot of violence and murder, as well as extortion and psycological torture. Also sportsgore. It's very sportsgore. Andrew's backstory in particular involves childhood sexual assault to a pretty extreme degree. Rape and matricide might also come up, as well as kidnapping and physical torture. And, finally, alcoholism. Even though Andrew is unlikely to bring them up verbally, these topics may come up in narration.
